Flags of Van Meter
The Van Meter Community Development Corporation and Van Meter FFA, citizens of Van Meter can now show their support for our country, neighborhoods, and loved ones during the flag holiday seasons.
Citizens of Van Meter can show their support for our country, neighborhoods, and loved ones through the Van Meter Flag Program during Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Veterans Day.
The Van Meter Community Development Corporation would like to invite citizens of Van Meter to participate in our annual flag fundraiser. The Van Meter Flag Program is a fundraiser that places flags in the community during 5 Holidays during the year. The money raised in the Van Meter Flag Program goes to the Van Meter Community Development Corporation and other local civic organizations that help set up and tear down the flags during the five federal holidays. We would like to invite any citizen of Van Meter to participate in our flag fundraiser!
All funds raised will go toward building trails, increasing connectivity around town, downtown
revitalization and benefit the activities of various civic organizations in Van Meter.
Holidays included are:
- Memorial Day
- Flag Day
- 4th of July
- Veterans Day
Program details:
- Full-year (5 flags) for $50.00.
- Volunteers will install, remove, and store the flags. During times when a flag is not displayed, a durable yard insert will be placed in your yard that will be hidden from view and keep the spot marked. We will also spray paint a line on the curb where the sleeve is placed.
- Feel confident that your donation is tax-deductible through The Van Meter Community Development Corporation which is a 501(c)3.
